10 months old

WOW, its hard to believe that my baby is 10 months old now. She has become such a big girl. I no longer think of her as an infant, but more of a toddler. I know some days when they are babies you wonder if they will ever grow up and then they hit this stage and you wish they we babies again, but with the same sleeping/eating patterns as now.
The things Gracee can do now:
-sleeps from 8-8 getting up once at 4 am to get a quick 5 min bottle (once again my own fault I just have not taken the time to break her of this)
-takes a 2 hr nap in the morning and afternoon.
-eats like there is no tomorrow-- you name it she has eaten it. she has finally learned how to spit food back out to let you know that she is done-- I was beginning to think she had a bottomless gut.
-moos like a cow (of course papa Mike taught her this one)
-says woof, woof--actually you have to watch her real close to recognize this one because it is two puffs of air.
-crawling everywhere and no I still have not purchased any kiddie gates. For those of you familiar with my house know that I should have purchased those long ago with all the stairs in my house. As a matter of fact the other day I sat her down in the kitchen and usually she sticks real close or goes into Krae's room. When i went to look for her 2 mins later I found her up the first flight of stairs by the laundry room(boy was she proud of herself)
-loves water in all shapes and forms- swimming pool, hot tub, mud puddles, toilets, and ocean.
-starting to be a copycat-- she spits, coughs, and grunts (to mimick (?) someone who burbs)

Overall she is just a happy golucky little girl. The poor thing I guess has gotten used to EVERYONE stopping and talking to her in public all because of her red hair--It is just crazy how many people gauk at this.

her favorite place at the park

here is a crazy hair shot of her right after her bath. her dad thought this was great, but she kind of looked like a troll.

Vacation in Lincoln City

WARNING: LOTS AND LOTS OF PICTURES: what can I say pictures say way more than words can.

Overall our vacation went great especially since there were 3 babies between the ages of 3-11 months (yes at one point or another each were woke up by one of them).
The guys got to go golfing, crabing, and to the casino. Us women got to go get a pedicure, and several trips to the outlet malls, and I can not forget the 4 puzzles we put together. As for my kids Kraeton got to go golfing with the guys ( and was very upset that I would not let him go on the boat crabing), played at the beach, and he got lots of use out of the hot tub (he used it as a swimming pool). Gracee absolutely loved the beach. That girl has no fear for water (its actually kind of scary) and the sand did not bother her one bit.

This is haystack rock in Pacific City (not the "haystack rock" in cannon beach though)

Proof that we were all together

The men in our lives

Our view fom the house: no we were not right on the water, but our house was on a hill that overlooked the water. As the crow flies we were about a 1/4 mile from the beach.

So here goes the pictures of Gracee at the beach. This girl loved the sand so much that she ate about 2-3 tablespoons on this particular day. As a matter of fact she popped sand for 2 days. I know that was too much info but she would lick her hands, and put rocks in her mouth, and lick all the beach toys. There was no way of keeping her away from it,so I chose to let her do it instead of leaving the beach (which was the alternative)

This is my favorite picure, she is bending over sucking the sand off her toes. we finally we able to capture it and it cracks me up. she would do this to her hands and feet.

The New Ride

First off I have to admit I have been terrible about posting anything because I am slacking in the picture taking department. I don't know why but I go through lulls of not taking any pictures.

So back to the new ride, I finally decided to break down and buy a bigger rig (I say "I" because Jake would have done it months ago, but because I am cheap I have finally reasoned with myself and done it). The little Grand Am Just was not cutting it anymore. Everytime we would go out of town we would have to borrow a vehicle or ride with someone else or not go for very long, also we could never have anyone else ride with us. Even though there are 5 seats in the car with 2 car seats there is no room for an extra person, so that means if Krae wanted a little friend to go with us somewhere it was one tight fit ( Is my reasoning justified yet) Anyways with a HUGE thanks to Todd we finally got the trail blazer just in time for our week at the Oregon Coast. I am super excited that we will have sooo much room. It is the extended version so we have the 3 rd row which I have no intention of using often but at least there is the option, it also has a DVD player so that Krae can watch a movie on long road trips. ( my boss says he hates these because he thinks it takes away from the traveling, you know all the road games that you play, but I think he is just jealous that they were not available when his kids we young) I think they are GREAT when traveling long distances.

Enough for now but next week I should have all kinds of fun pictures from the beach--If I dont hopefully the others will-- we are going and renting a house with my brother and his wife Amy and Delaney (Oh by the way thanks Amy for helping me change my background), and with Todd, Jess, and Emers. Fun times I can hadly wait.

Stinkers

Apparently when Jake was watching the kids the other night this is where he found Gracee ( in Krae's toy boxes) helping herself. Good thing she chose a toy too big for her to swallow since dad was not paying real close attention.
